Well said. I came over a few years back when lemm.ee was still a thing, and there were hardly ever comments on posts. The growth has been noticeable and it’s been mostly good. It’s not like the fediverse doesn’t have plenty of its own drama and idiots, so as long as new users are adding to the engagement in meaningful ways, I welcome them.

Afroman. He’s an American musician who just successfully fought off a defamation suit brought by police officers who raided his property a few years ago. The charges they used to justify the raid were false and they destroyed some stuff during the raid, not to mention the negative attention it brought him. So he used his security camera footage to make some music videos and made fun of several of the police officers involved. They got their feelings hurt and tried to sue him for defamation, and lost.
