No, taped along the wall. Floor is asking for trouble.

Thermostatic mixer valves use a (typically mechanical) thermostat to automatically control the hot/cold valves to maintain the desired output temperature – regardless of fluctuations in hot/cold water temp.
Emergency response is exactly this. You can’t be incompetent, but whatever plan you execute is going to be far from perfect.
I also hate the misused “it’s just a bandaid!” cliché. Yeah, no shit: it’s not a permanent fix, but it can keep a problem from getting worse until you can address the actual cause. Surgery means fuck all if the patient bleeds out on the table.
On the other hand sometimes killing a “debate” is the best outcome.
How many times has some far right chud dropped of the radar after being absolutely humiliated?

It’s really not that much work. Just completely disassemble the mouse, put the shell in your ultrasonic parts cleaner for 30 to 60 minutes, then dunk in plastic-safe disinfectant solution. Rinse with deionized water, dry with filtered compressed air, and reassemble. I keep 3 in rotation so I always have one ready to go and another in reserve.
If you can’t afford to invest 2 hours in basic maintenance each night maybe stick to whatever came with your prebuilt Costco PC.
Which is what tech is supposed to do: make the shitty jobs easier. As long as there’s enough other work and it’s not replacing an employee I’m fine with that aspect of it.
There are other issues with it (privacy, subscription models, etc)
Define “good”. The books themselves are (probably intentionally) written in the style of ridiculous queer slash fan-fiction.
If that’s your jam they’re actually pretty good. The writing is surprisingly self aware and the characters are well written … for what they are.
This review of Trans Wizard Harriet Porber And The Bad Boy Parasaurolophus is worth a watch to get an idea of what you’d be getting into.
Huh, my experience has been mostly unsolicited dick picks from sentient thumbs that appear to be other peoples’ husbands.
I run Mint and Kubuntu: have both ankle socks and crew socks.
… I’m not kidding.
what’s the point when all you need is to literally run a single application that only toggles I/O ports or does a bit of comms with an external integrated circuit via I2C, Serial or SPI?
None, but sometimes you need far more functionality. A micro-controller is cheaper and less power hungry than a full fledged SOC, which is why you find them in things like e-ink tablets.
I’m not saying it’s common, but given the swath of “high end” internet connected adult toys I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s a handful running linux.
Not even the more expensive microcontrollers run Linux.
Linux on microcontrollers was a thing back in 1998.
More modern and capable microcontrollers like the fairly cheap ESP32 can run linux pretty well.
The TV Tropes entry for “WTF did I just watch?” endings is named after the studio that made Evangelion.
Hate makes anyone ugly: even when they aren’t speaking it affects their expression and demeanor, and it doesn’t help all these chuds go for the same haircuts and clothes.
If he wasn’t a miserable shithead and fixed his hair/clothes he’d be pretty good looking.
The guy that won highschool president for my grade ran on “This position is a joke and you should vote for me as a protest candidate.”
His campaign consisted of bribing people to vote for him with donuts and making outlandish, joking claims like “eliminating homework and finals week.” He also told everyone he “100% wasn’t going to do anything expected or required of the position.”
Isn’t the guy with the flat top haircut and ping-pong ball eyes their dad?
One day as a teenager I was screwing around with the cattle prods they sell at the local farm supply store. I pushed the button a few times and nothing happened – no sparks, no noise. Clearly it doesn’t have batteries in it …
I learned something that day.

… you might want to re-read my comment because I’m definitely not saying that. The idea of “Shooting to wound” with any live round is moronic. Even .22lr can easily kill or cripple someone regardless of the shooter’s intent.
I take issue with downplaying how powerful .223/5.56 is. Sure, there are absolutely more powerful rifle rounds. That being said, here’s a video of cheap surplus 5.56 FMJ punching through 1/4" steel plate at 200 yards.
“Hot neutral” is the name of my 80s glam cover band.
