I recognized this style. Are you certain Moshimoshibe is the original artist? I’m subscribed to the artist Alexandra Fomina from Art Station.
EDIT: There’s not enough information provided to distinguish a difference. But all of the Artist’s work and contact are available on Art Station as well.
They are the same person. You’ll notice she uses the same name as on pixiv for her artstation portfolio page: moshimoshibe.artstation.com
The pixiv profile also has several other socials linked, and her twitter even has a patreon where she takes comission. Those are kinda hard to steal.
ArtStation is like the linkedin of the art industry. People tend to switch to their real names and keep it a bit separate from other social media.
Are you saying that they have copied or are reuploading their works?
They got confused by an alias for the same artist.
ah, that makes sense. I heard that’s very common with manga artists.
It’s common on the internet in general. In this case a persons real name vs their username online, which are two names basically everyone online has.
Basically me being overprotective of an artist I am fond of.
Not a bad thing. She is very good, and has a distinct style I also love. I’ll be posting more (unless someone gets to it first, hint hint).
Without automation, its just too much work for me. cough cough
Would it help if I set up the saucebot I’m planning?
You’d be able to make low effort image posts (and choose a title), then it would find and comment with artist credit, socials, and a link to the highest quality source file it can find.
I’ll basically be taking the parts of my posting tool that generate my post bodies, and make it possible to get back the result in a comment either automatically, or by commenting “sauce” or something.
You had me sold at low effort!
I will however need the 411 on how to use saucebots. I’m familiar with automation but never used anything for forums.
Ideally I’ll have it detect posts that don’t include source, and just have it comment on those without further complication.
Failing that, you’ll be able to summon it with a mention or keyword.
I’ll announce it and provide instructions, once it’s a thing. No timeline yet.
I think that would be helpful. Need help testing it?
Not yet at least. In a way it’s already being tested, I’ll be able to reuse a lot of code from my posting tool which is already kind of a bot.
I hope I raised some eyebrows when I enabled it and my account started posting 24/7 :D
