Why are there THIRTY THREE (33) variants of Wine listed !? I haven’t been able to find an explanation of which one does what, so I have no idea what I should install, if any.
Can someone help ?
( Also, I found a “solved” issue on the nixpkgs github page stating there were too many wine flavors. I shudder to imagine how many there used to be ! )

I agree it’s very confusing. There’s this GitHub issue that goes a bit into the differences. If you don’t have any special requirements, I’d probably try the
wine-waylandpackage first.
