What a waste of potential. Dont usually review animes but man that was absolutely rough. Not sure what counts as spoilers so I wont say anything specific but lets just say I seen better plot in user manuals. The damn soccer ball had more character development. The whole series felt like watching a crack addict going to rehab and then tempting themselves or even relapsing (again gotta keep it vague because of spoilers). The mc was honestly its saving grace and I do look forward to see what happens with him if/when the second season comes out. For now I’ll probably checkout the light novels since I keep hearing its better but oof this episode did not sit right
I think if someone is reading the an episode discussion you can ‘spoil’ up to that point.
But yeah, nothing happened. The anime had a pretty good setup but the author did nothing with the story, We didn’t get any interesting pay-off moment during the process of them getting back together nor any good drama. At least there weren’t some really bad scenes that made me want to bash my head against a wall but it wasn’t great either.
This show had such a good premise, and they did nothing with it. I was pretty excited the first couple of episodes to see where it went, but after the initial introspection and “i should probably stop being a creep” decision, it was basically a character line. Stuff just kind of happened to him, and he didn’t really take any steps or do anything on his own. And somehow that led him right back to the ending we got. Not really sure what the whole point of the story was.
