Why YSK: Seriously, so many people are shelling out cash for subscriptions when their public library probably offers a ton of these resources for absolutely free. We’re talking movies, music, e-books, and legitimate online learning platforms like LinkedIn Learning or Great Courses. It’s like a secret cheat code for saving money and leveling up your brain. Check your library’s website, you’d be surprised what’s included. Why pay when you don’t have to? It’s kind of a no-brainer.

        It’s possible times have changed. Iirc Broward County was the goto suggestion but that may be out of date. I haven’t ever relied on a library for finding digital media

        What does proof of address really mean to a library ? In times of desperation in the past I would enter the library’s address and it would work for at l’est a month before getting removed which can be enough time if necessary. Questionable ethics but usage stats do help libraries…

      Yeah! I’ve got several. Broadens the selection nicely. Also, my local library doesn’t have Hoopla, but the larger city in a nearby state does and was very cool about letting me get a card since I live in the boonies.
