Deleting one’s account publicly disassociates the user from their posts, but rest assured that won’t be the case on the backend.

Between the pandemic and the 2020 election cycle was when I became acutely aware of the information I was ingesting. I found myself becoming more and more upset by the posts I was reading while doomscrolling. Eventually I communicated with my partner about turning all that shit off via filters and tuning out and we immediately became 100% happier for it.
I didn’t really even have a choice because I was primarily a mobile user. 98% of the time I used reddit in between personal and social transitions away from my desktop. The only time I was really ever on the desktop version was when I had to do mod crap.
