My take on this is both Russia and Israel likely wanted to use him as leverage, he is just too good a target to pass. I don’t think any of this can really be proven though. Everyone just goes with whatever they think is the most reasonable.

I think they were toys for anyone who wanted blackmail stupid billionaires. So it is a list which probably includes Mossad, Russia and so on.

Well like pedophiles, Israel definitely has an issue with children. Although in their case the issue manifest itself as murder rather than molestation.

fair enough should have said projected land mass but I think the fact that strip goes somewhat diagonal suggests that the total area distortion inside the strip and outside it (the lower side) will likely be similar (since this particular projection distorts more around the poles as far as I remember)

If you remove Russia, this is a strip that covers almost half of the remaining land mass. Not impressed.
