Hey, I had seen that meme around here some weeks ago, but I lost it and was searching it recently. Thank you, gonna share it with my friend now:)

I think from the tests I did here with 2 people (from different instances) the downvotes are from any instance that federates with mine (though still not 100% sure).

I asked above to downvote me from their non-mander.xyz instance and I can see 2 downvotes.

Can you see my downvote on your comment? (Give it about a hour or so to federate)

Also, can you see any downvotes on this post? (I see 6 so far.)

So does this mean the downvotes I see on blahaj are exactly the number of downvotes from all the users in instances that allow downvotes which my instance federates with?

(I wrote it in such a confusing way, but I dont know if I can make it any better😅)

Edit: could you please downvote this comment from your (not mander.xyz) instance to test if the downvotes federate?

I’m still not very sure about this and I wanted to ask about it here for a long time. I think they are “disabled”, but I think on lemmy, disabling them means that for every 5 downvotes the system shows a downvote. I don’t exactly understand how it works on communities with downvotes disabled.

Turns out that it (probably) was decided to modify the downvote system so that for every 5 downvotes, 1 downvote appears. I’m still kinda confused tho😅

Probably first time seeing a post on 196 that has same number of upvotes and downvotes (and it’s not 1-1)💀

Lol, that might be me, almost. I knew the movies and books existed (I think I have watched one), but I kinda doubt I remembered the writer’s name. Just few years ago I made a friend who critisized the writer about her transphobic views and that’s kinda how I got to know her😅

(I have to admit, I’m bad at watching movies/series or reading literature and just few years ago I tried to start reading literature systematically.)

I can’t help much, just gonna say that it’s so annoying when they dont take you seriously and they essentially gaslight you into thinking whatever they believe is true, without bothering to do proper (lab) tests…

(I had to go to ~5 different doctors for someone to kinda take me seriously and prescribe lab tests. As surprizing as it may seem, lab tests ~diagnose external and internal infections better than an eye with a magnifying glass…) If possible, check reviews on google maps or wherever try another doctor and before you go make sure they’re gonna do whatever test you want (insist if needed).

I ~suppose your doctor checked if there’s any earwax and tried to clean it, right? (I had to go twice for that, it blocked a lot of sound.)

Very unrelated, but I noticed you have a downvote, visible. Is this possible on this instance? Has something changed or is it a bug? Other posts/comments dont seem to have downvotes, but here I can see that the post and some comments have a single downvote. Do you have any clue? I think only your comments and the post have a downvote, could it be the person you talked to somehow managed to get their downvotes to show?
