I’ve never heard that argument.

Mlem isn’t offline, you just need to update to the new TestFlight release (we had to re-release the app)!
Here’s the post with the link!
Also a fan
you’re the best!
both messages (and notifications) and improved image handling are upcoming features (per the release notes/post). stay tuned!
When science has not yet provided an answer, the solution is to keep searching. The answer is not, “oh, God, must’ve done it!” Beliefs, regardless of how sincerely held, are not knowledge, but merely how one may wish things to be. Wishes are not truths.
in Mlem, certain types of users have a modified username style. see if you can spot them all!
glad you like it!
I like Mlem because it’s a native iOS app developed in Swift and SwiftUI for everyone to be performant, beautiful, and accessible!
But I’m on the Mlem Team, so maybe I’m a bit biased :P

well, you posted a screenshot searching not for “peertube” but for “peertube instance”.

perhaps it’s blocked by your isp?

exactly what jobs is AI taking?
it’s a server lag thing. you may try going directly to the community and clicking the subscribe button again to de-select it and subscribe again. there’s a lot of traffic on Lemmy servers right now, so some functions seem to not be working quite right.
Mlem is heavily inspired by Apollo. We’re working on a new interface and UX for the app which should be in the next release. we’re coding it now and will be testing it internally very soon.
Christian did an amazing job with Apollo, and we want to learn from that, take the great work he did, and carry what we can forward into Mlem!

I’m really not experiencing that— because there isn’t The Algorithm feeding you Content™, lemmy is more reliant on you subscribing to specific communities and for them to be active. Personally, I’m subscribed to a lot of communities, but, likewise, I get a lot of active content. Im able to, in a satisfactory way, replicate the experience that I had on reddit— minus 99.9% of the toxicity and hostility, of course.
You may simply find that it’s a mater of fine-tuning your experience here, although the platform itself is still improving. I remember Reddit in its early days, and it, too, took time to improve.
