This is what the majority of people trying to see your image get when you use imgur to upload something on lemmy:
{“data”:{“error”:“Imgur is temporarily over capacity. Please try again later.”},“success”:false,“status”:403}
For crying out loud stop using imgur.
What else do you expect?
From childhood everyone gets drilled in their skull that whenever a situation arises they need to call an adult or the authorities and to never handle it themselves.
“God says: …” Is the OG “Source: Trust me bro”
A lot of them are, but this kind of bullshit is the kind of thing that will have a lot more visibility than the rest because it is usually what gets shared and shown.
The vast majority of what I’ve printed I never bothered sharing because it is custom made so specifically that nobody else would find a use for it. Or it is something that is so boring that even though I’m happy to have printed it instead of buying it, it is still a boring household object that nobody would care about.
That is how you need to hold an old cowboy-era style single action revolver with a loading gate like the Colt SAA 1873 to reload it.
Except that apparently they couldn’t find the right prop for the picture because this is a modern double action revolver. They usually are reloaded by swinging the cylinder to the side and you wouldn’t be holding it like that for that.
Yup, that checks out. That’s what we get instead of hoverboards.
What if it’s because the robot is getting lonely and is really hoping that you are also a robot?
I tried Nord VPN and realized three things: 1: The “limited time specials” they boast are completely misleading. You pay more per month than what they make it sound like in their sponsored messages. 2: They try to automatically renew your subscription and charge your credit card for a significantly higher price with the hope that you wouldn’t notice. 3: Unsubscribing is made to be a frustrating pain in the ass. You have to talk to their sales representatives and they will make you argue for it. And then you’ll have to do it all over again because even though they said they cancelled your subscription it won’t be because " technical problems".
VPNs rely entirely on trust and Nord has proven to be completely untrustworthy.
I use Mullvad now and it uses none of those deceiving tactics to lock you into an expensive contact. It also goes long ways to keep you anonymous and has periodic audits to prove they don’t collect your data.
This is the ant equivalent of Monty Python’s “Bring out your dead” skit
Costco and Loblaws in my area. Costco is even more annoying because it yells instructions on how to use the machine at you at every step. Every time. The moment you approach the machine it yells at you to scan your membership card. Then it yells at you to scan your items. Then it yells at you to put it in the bag area. Then it yells at you to use the PIN pad. Then it yells at you to thank you for shopping at Costco.
I’m wondering how many people got kicked out of the store already for snapping and yelling back at the machine to STFU.
One thing that has been annoying me lately are self checkout machines. They play the same pre-recorded message every time you’re done using them. Some pointless message in the lines of “Thank you for using self checkout” or “Thanks for shopping with us”. You’ve heard it a dozen times already from the surrounding machines by the time you complete your transaction and then it yells it at you. I feel terrible for the employee who has to stand there all day and have this stupid 3 second recording be the soundtrack of their day. I only have to listen to it for five minutes every week and I hate it already. This message must be playing in their nightmares at night.
Yeah, we know why he decided to have his fists in the air like that.
Of course. It is an effective way to always have a huge basin of people desperate for work which you can then brutally underpay and exploit. And here’s the fun part: If you underpay them enough they won’t even be able to pursue better working conditions!
The US never moved on from their slave based economy mentality. They just replaced black people with poor people (who also happen to be overrepresentatingly black).
The top one being placed impractically upright so people can see the label makes this picture suspicious. Or the guy just wanted to show off.
Soju.
It is a little bit like vodka. It is served ice cold, tastes like mildly sweet water and comes in a beer-style bottle so people who don’t know what it is drink way too much of it too fast and then get hit like a hammer. The bottles are meant to be poured into shot glasses and shared. It has 20-25% alcohol content and some drinks are sold premixed with a juice flavor like the example in the picture.
It is extremely cheap too in South Korea. You can buy a 20 pack case for less than $1/bottle there. You can get alcohol poisoning for less than $10.
