3·2 years agoI hope so too, but at least there’s always Beehaw 🐝🤠
Honestly I’d rather refederate with .world before them anyway, at least .world seems to be trying to keep on top of this stuff despite their massive user growth. Looking forward to updated versions of Lemmy where that more granular moderation control is available.

Chat@beehaw.org•lemmy.world has defederated from the nazi instanceEnglish
0·2 years agoIt’s still a step in the right direction at least, but yeah, if they don’t defederate from that instance it kind of says a lot about their attitudes. I was trying to be optimistic that them removing that community might signal that they’re going to defederate from that instance next.

17·2 years agoActually, sh.itjust.works removed their c/thedonald community so they seem to be taking steps in the right direction too. Still probably not time to refederate until more granular mod tools are developed but it’s a promising sign.

Chat@beehaw.org•what is something that immediately makes you think someone is a decent human being?English
3·2 years agoWas going to say the same thing but I’m glad I checked the comments first.
The shopping cart test is the tried and true method of whether somebody is capable of self governance and therefore at least a halfway decent human being.

asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Moderators, what rule violations infuriate you the most?
3·2 years agoI don’t moderate anymore, but when I did it was the repeat rule violations that irritated me the most. I don’t mind correcting people once, or twice, or even three times. But there’s a limit. It feels like parenting, just listen to me the first time I say it, please.

Chat@beehaw.org•non-stickied PSA: Beehaw has signed the Anti-Meta Fedi PactEnglish
4·2 years agoDefinitely agree, I guess I was more just making a point that even without saying anything that’s the vibe I was getting from this instance. Which was meant as a compliment. You folks are doing a great job so far 😊
I love telegram but it’s hard to get other people to try telegram. I just love that I can send any file type easily and of pretty much any size on desktop or mobile.

16·2 years agoNice, I got the vibes you’d do that without having to announce it but I’m glad to hear the commitment. Makes it easier to feel better about building connections here knowing they won’t be thrown apart when Meta comes to town.
Loving the anti-tankie memes, establishing this community to be based af

Chat@beehaw.org•What communities have you been the happiest with so far in the lemmyverse?English
8·2 years agoMost of the communities in Beehaw have been pretty great for me. Good vibes and overall decent discussion in pretty much all of them. For memes 196 in the blahaj instance is my favorite.

Chat@beehaw.org•What communities have you been the happiest with so far in the lemmyverse?English
15·2 years agoYou might like the Beehaw instance. That’s why I joined it, they moderate more heavily than a lot of other instances and you don’t really see as much of that. Every once in a while somebody from another instance wonders in and says something dumb but you don’t see it getting support. At least I haven’t.

asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is there a seamless way of linking to other instances?
8·2 years agoIs there a seamless way of linking to other instances?
Not really that I know of, not yet. Lemmy is still pretty janky, but it’s our janky.
It depends on which instance you’re a part of. Some allow you to make communities (lemmy.world for one) and others restrict it to only admins can make them (Beehaw as an example).
I tried saying the same thing but the page timed out for me haha
This is cool, buuut maybe not the best audience?

asklemmy@lemmy.ml•I need to survive for 3 days while pooping as much as possible. I can pee as often as I like. It can take up loads of space. What food do I pack?English
3·2 years agoNot what I was expecting in my feed, not going to lie. But I think as strange as this question is, it bodes well for original content on Lemmy… unfortunately.
That being said anything with a laxative effect should do the trick. For lots of pooping and sweating you could go with the sugar-free gummy bears on Amazon.

asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have you already encountered those new bots on Lemmy?
1·2 years agoYou think people would lie like that??

See Mozingo? Nothin’
(this comment makes more sense if you can see both lemmy.world and beehaw comments lol)
