The Vending Machine one is actually pretty good.

I agree although I paused a bit at “is still”. I think it’s because it was written left to right but at that point I was trying to read it right to left.
If the is was right aligned there it would have worked perfectly.
DharkStare@lemmy.worldto Anime@lemmy.ml•Am I the only one who's sick of the isekai?English3·1 year agoMy main critique of the genre is how lazy it’s done. There’s nothing wrong with having the MC reincarnated, transported, or made overpowered. One Punch Man has a massively overpowered MC but it’s still really good. The problem is that they’re all low effort cookie cutter stories that are just checking items off a list.
They’re also fairly unrealistic. “Gasp…is this that isekai thing I’ve been reading about? I guess I’ll go join the Adventurer Guild and get a super dangerous job killing monsters despite the fact that I’ve never been in a dangerous situation before.”
There’s no way all these random people will just calmly accept finding themselves in another world with no freaking out or depression setting in first.
I’m the same. I watched about 1 min of one of her interviews and had to turn it off due to all the second hand embarrassment I was feeling.

I bought a Steamdeck a few weeks ago and one of the reasons was to see how well games play on a linux system. So far everything is working fine so I think I might actually switch to full Linux for my next computer.
Win 11 is going to push me to Linux for my main PC. My current PC doesn’t meet the hardware requirements for Win 11 so I couldn’t run it even if I wanted to.
The only question is if I’ll need a separate windows machine for gaming.
It’s the circle of meme life.
If it was a singular customer, I would say “He forgot to pay his bill” (or she/her depending on the gender).
True. I’ll change it to a (hopefully) better example.
Singular they sometimes works and sometimes it sounds odd. It usually sounds off when used by itself without following something explicitly singular.
“The customer forgot their wallet. Can you bring it to them?” sounds correct but if you just do
“They forgot to pay their bill” it sounds like you’re referring to multiple people instead of a singular person.
Edit: Changed to a better example.
I went to join and saw I was already subscribed.
