Cars scale with the population very well. Rural and small cities have smaller roads and better infrastructure for traveling short distances while still being able to be used for long distance. The housing crisis goes a lot deeper than people think, if cars are contributing, then not much.
Ah right because America is a few blocks long. And here I thought the American would be bad at geography (I don’t know a single thing about geography).
Plane rides aren’t for frequent and shorter trips. Cars are a cheap way to get there and you aren’t restricted at all.
How are they inefficient or at least less inefficient than other solutions? That infrastructure is already there, unlike others. And air quality is more affected by other things than cars.
Cars. I mean it works well enough right now and there isn’t any good solution other than them.
I see them it’s just I don’t really care since they are so very minor as opposed to any other type of large-scale transportation, especially trains.
What programming language are you assuming this is? I’m thinking of it as JavaScript in my head and I don’t think there would be any errors.
They never killed them, they were always stickers not emojis so they aren’t used as much. You can still use them through Gboard.
New York City tried that and we ended up with a subway full of crack addicts, homelessness, public nudity, etc. Trains should either be for a long trip but only once in a while or a last resort in a large city.
As I said in the other one, I’m not walking 15 miles to see Grandma.
Not in us, because cities are more spread out, even with better infrastructure it would still be every 6-7 hours or more.

Isn’t more babies the reason for the bad side of capitalism, homelessness, and other issues that many complain about on Lemmy?
Fast trains so that you can be restricted in exactly when you can visit and still pay for it. And then have to walk the rest of the distance from the train station to her house. There is so many flaws people just
failrefuse to see.
But as soon as they do (and they will, it’s pretty common for students to test the limits of those Chromebooks restrictions) it is so very difficult to fix.
You can’t do shit on chrome os. Actually the worst os ever, costing the same amount for laptops with the point that chrome can definitely run an entire operating system that has 1gb of RAM. I don’t understand why anybody would want it. There is a very big difference.
So I’m not walking that far…
