idk but I’m here.

It would be nice if there were an app or plugin that would aggregate them into one heading or folder. So that on the user end all of the Gaming@ Lemmy.lm Gaming@ Beehaw, etc etc just show up under #Gaming on the users end. It would also improve the longevity of the smaller ones since we can already post across instances.
That said I’m an idiot and not even remotely sure how that would get set up :).
I’ll probably continue to lurk on some more niche Reddit communities. Mostly related to smaller gaming communities for news or info posts, but I’m hopeful that as Lemmy grows more will migrate this way.
This^. And not just the ads, but the decentralized nature should also protect the community at large. Where as if Nintendo doesn’t like something on r/Nintendo they may have sufficient pull to force a change. With communities being decentralized it means that corporations have a lessened ability to throw their weight around.
I think this is my only real issue. It would be amazing to have an app that would allow you to create a gaming “folder” of sorts that you could drop all the gaming communities into under one heading.
Since you can already post to different instances, having a way to better organize them would solve for the fragmentation pretty well. Then even with multiple gaming communities, they all still show as #Gaming or whatever on the user end.
Lemii if you will.
