Honestly, magic is quite right. At the base level, how these fields are created and how electrons moving around results in these rules is just the magic of how our universe works.

You can discover the rules to live by, but why it works that way gets smaller and smaller until it’s magic.

Jeff Bezos has liquidated over 10 billion PER YEAR with absolutely 0 effect on the stock whatsoever. People who make the stock argument really don’t understand the scale at which megacorps sell stock and also how fast it would recover. Yes, if beaks liquidated every stock in one day, his stock would crash… for about a day before it was all bought up by hedge funds instantly because they know that it will recover with no problem whatsoever. Then voila, stock price recovers.

I mean, this is literally already happening.

Gross misuse of IE considering socialism is literally a less extreme version of communism.

Marxist-Leninist was literally communism where in their own words it was “a dictatorship of the proletariat”. Where Marx and Engels literally dismissed socialism as “a middle class movment of quacks.” In Marx’s outline of socialism, it literally disregards it as “capitalism still exists to a lesser degree.” ML-communism is authoritarian and completely different that most forms of socialism as well as “pure” communism.

Socialism, on the other hand has either state-controlled or private-but-worker-controlled economy with a democratically elected government and not necessarily single party. It was an entirely other school of people and ideas. China is not socialism as their government is not elected, but appointed by a ruling party. It is a statist-oligarchy plain and simple.

Socialism is constantly misused. Stalin and hell, the Nazis called themselves socialist even though they weren’t at all. George Orwell actually said that Marxist-Leninist communism has circles around and is on the right again.

Fair point. Though so far, there hasn’t really been any system at all that didn’t lead to genocide and/or class based opression. From monarchs to feudal Lords to capitalist oligarchies and communist dictators, terrible people always rise to the top.

The same can be said for capitalism though.

Capitalism must be enforced somehow, it ends up being an oligarchy or authoritarian because of that.

Isn’t “authoritarian communist” kind of an oxymoron? 😂 like the whole point of communism is that there isn’t a ruling class. I guess Russia and China were never really communist, just statist authoritarian right? I mean, the Nazis called themselves Socialist. They were nowhere near that
