The thing is this wasn’t “most men” or even “some men”. It was a regular line for a mountain coaster. Anything from kids to their moms and dads and older folk up to like their 50s and all fucking cheered. I’ve never see something like this here. Here there’s always at least one old cranky dude that shits on such people very vocally and the kids cover. 5 teenagers gawking and giggling or football fan types yelling isn’t the same as watching a crowed of all ages go WOOOW! Like I’m already fed up with the heat and shitty long line on the fucking asphalt of all things and these regular ass midwestern families still find it in em to admire the rich asshole being a nuisance.

After visiting America and seeing how much they celebrate assholes I’m less and less surprised. If you’re standing in line and a car pulls up just to rev its engine as loud as possible, here in Europe we get mad at the fucking obnoxious asshole. Never ever did I want to disassociate from a crowd faster than when surrounded by Americans losing their marbles at seeing an expensive car be loud.

It’s a tiny example, but it has to start somewhere. Glorifying shit is just wrong.

  • 80% of my programing work is solving problems and designing stuff. The only productivity boost I got is when working with proprietary libraries that have most of their documentation in customer support tickets (wouldn’t be a problem if I could just read the bloody source code or our company didn’t think that paying UNHOLY AMOUNTS OF MONEY for shit makes it better) or when interacting with a new system, where I know exactly what I want, but just don’t know the new syntax or names. It’s handy, but definitely not a game changer.

As a man I have to agree, we’re fucking spoiled, but in the worst way possible. It’s not just that we allow men to be pigs and monsters, society expects it of us as kids, and if we don’t behave like it, we get called weird and gay and pushed aside as freaks. In my childhood it was very much be shit or be treated like shit. It really fucked my confidence and effectively ruined 90% of interactions with women, as I became to scared to even look one in the eyes, not wanting to be seen as a threat again for breathing the same air. As many men, it’s a miracle I found someone (or rather I was lucky enough to have a good friend that would introduce me) and thank fucking god, because I was slowly turning into an incel… Now I actually get to be a functional member of society and make someone happy.

It always triggers me a bit when I complain about me not having showered/shaved/groomed my self yet and a women tells me “you don’t have to, you’re a man”. I understand your daily struggle and injustice as a women and that you have it much worse, but what am I to do? Cut off my dick? Shrivel up and die? Maybe then I can become a vile enough rotting lump of shit to be a “REAL MAN”.

  • I might be wrong and I’ll be gladly proven wrong with a study, but every time someone says I have a fast metabolism just because I just ate a huge ass pizza right before their eyes, hurts my soul. Everyone that has tolled me this so far has a drastically different lifestyle from me. I don’t eat that much most of the time, I often just get a salad or tuna sandwich. I also move my body a lot more, unless I absolutely have to use transit, I WALK. These people always cringe when I tell them I parked the car more than 5 mins of walking away and fucking refuse to walk to it with me.

Honestly haven’t been paying attention to the AAA scene, I always dread when a friend wants me to try a 60~100 GB game. So like wtf happened? When the hell did we break 200 GB and even 300 GB? No way in hell am I getting a game that big.

Wish the alternatives weren’t so expensive at restaurants and the such. Honestly don’t get it, whenever I cook my self, the meat is always the most expensive part, so why is vegetarian or god forbid vegan food so expensive at restaurants? Stuff like soi meat strips are dirt cheap, not to mention will likely never spoil in storage. I know like one restaurant that actually serves the meatless food cheaper, but that one generally strives to be as mass affordable as possible.

  • Americans aren’t consistent either. 2 liter and similar bottles (and it’s not even the same bottle, like they aren’t reusing molds or anything, it’s just an American 2 liter bottle). Sharp edges and points like on mechanical pencils are in millimeters. So are many nuts and bolts. Stuff like electricity and power are measured in metric units. Generally electronics/computer parts are in metric, the main exception that comes to mind is screen size, which even the rest of the world does in inches (LIKE WTF!?!).

There’s plenty of examples of metric units in the daily life of an American.

  • Just because we recorded one tallest man, doesn’t mean there was never and won’t ever be one that’s just as tall. Like sure, depending on our exact metric of gayness, there may very well only be one gayest person, but there could also be a 100, a 1000 or even more gayest people.

  • The meme saying there’s a gayest person, kinda implies this. Of course it’s actually nonsense in real life, all I’m trying to say is that a spectrum by definition doesn’t exclude the possibility of 2 entities being on the most extreme end (doesn’t really matter if we have more dimensions or just one representing gayness, all can be maxed out). If one person can someone how obtain the highest amount of gayness physically possible, how does that stop someone else from doing the same?

  • I mean it has to be a limit, a person can only be so gay. Like even if we define a spectrum as far and wide as we like. Let’s say height for example. That’s an infinite scale, but a human will never be a light year in height, it’s just not physically possible. And once there’s one human to reach the highest physical limit, what’s stopping someone else from also reaching that point?

  • Comment sections like this make me feel like I’m in a room full of crazy people, and or I eventually start to question my own sanity.

I mean sure, a spectrum is defined by at least 2 most extreme points (depending on the amount of dimensions). But like, what’s stopping us form mapping two or more people to either extreme? Why can’t 2 people be equally most gay or equally least gay?
