I like my home. It’s quiet and comfortable, I’m surrounded by things and people I like. Unless I have a reason to go out home is where I’d prefer to be.

Nope. Just gonna block and move on.
I wasn’t “getting after” you, I was reinforcing the other, actually valid, point you seemed to ignore from the comment you replied to.
This is exactly how you divide people and radicalise them on generalisations.
Which in turn was directly relevant to the OP and the topic.
Maybe take a couple deep breaths and calm down.
And most rapists are men.
Yes, but not all and not all men are rapists. It’s almost like use of generalizations quells discourse and drives division.
If you get bitten by a racoons, are you going to say “not all racoons”, or are you going to get a rabies shot?
Get a shot, because a raccoon that bit you is overwhelmingly likely to be rabid.
“Not all men, but enough that you need to treat it like it’s all men” doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
You don’t need to though. You choose to based on your own experiences and biases. When someone says it’s not all men they are basing that on their experiences and biases.
Neither “men” nor “women” are a monolith.
The answer is yes, among a group of boys that my daughter decided were safe enough to be around
This is such an important distinction. Thank you for calling it out.

Map Enthusiasts@sopuli.xyz•Where Gen Z Is Movin To And Which States They're Leaving
6·24 days agoOr there are well educated Gen Z people from blue states who are moving to where to CoL is lower because the economy and job market have been royally fucked by the generations before them?
Or maybe, and far more likely, both are true among other reasons.

36·1 month agoThat’s the most brain-dead take I’ve seen today, and I’ve been arguing with a guy
Maybe direct your overly aggressive anger at him then?
Fuck off. Comparing the impeccably-researchedwork of one of the most famous reporters in history, based on his own firsthand experiences in the meatpacking plants and interviewing the workers thereof… To fucking Calvin and Hobbes?
I made no comparison. I took the opportunity to recommend one of my favorite books in return.
Now I am sorry you misunderstood, but I personally find your language and communication style to be abusive, so I am going to block you.
I hope you have a pleasant morning/day/evening.

316·1 month agoit was in reference to the point that this is not new. yes
What point?
you are correct in that it is not a direct source
Or a source at all.
but instead i took it as a chance to recommend one of my favorite books
Oh…
“Calvin and Hobbes” - Bill Watterson
Am I doing it right?

312·1 month agoCall me sceptical but I doubt a fiction book published ~120 years ago predicted the recall of 167000 pounds of meat in 2026 and then went further to outline how it was directly related to the recent deregulation by the Trump administration.
Perhaps you’d like to be a little more verbose and expand on this comment?

41·1 month agoI’ll be honest with you; I’m inclined to look at it the same way as the person you’re replying to and I’ve yet to see any article attributing this to, or outlining how it’s related to, the recent de-regulation.
Perhaps you could source your claim?

I haven’t checked yet but this sounds like vet wrap or coban.
Edit: seems similar but vet wrap/coban isn’t glossy, more fabric-y.
