I code stuff. I draw stuff.
I’m a Hongkonger 🇭🇰
If you’re a westerner coming here because you’re arguing with me about something in HK/China/Asia, I forgive you for your misunderstandings.

So there’s this exam called the DSE exam that is a VERY BIG deal as it determines if you can get into university and thus your future career.
There was a subject called Liberal Studies, and you basically an entire essay for each question. Every high school LS teacher will teach you the templates of different types of questions so you can score points.
At one point, the HKEAA (the group that organises the exam) asked the teachers to not teach the templates, but it’s almost impossible to score anything if you don’t follow the template.
So no one listened, and it was still how it was taught until the subject got cancelled.
You know what that means, FISH
Get some High Quality Rips instead
He did teach them. He was just comparing different generations of students.
My high school computer teacher once ranted about this to us. He said the younger students are lacking the basic concepts of computer stuff. They are spoiled too much to not even know what a file browser is.
“why is there a 4th evidence???”
It says “Foreigners’ Chinese work permit system failed/broke. Please wait patiently”
I’m not interested in US politics
You’re absolutely correct that nothing happened on June 5th
Chinese are humans too. They have a life, have things to pay for, and most of them are not even associated with the government.
Sweatshop is probably true, but I’m telling you, you just cannot resist the price as a consumer. Tooth filling for 29 HKD (3.7 USD), you just can’t beat that.
Hongkonger are extremely realistic and practical. Price low? Use it
When people saw the price, they stopped caring about that. This has been the case of Hong Kong.
It was the old image of Chinese products (edit: also services), but recently their quality has increased significantly. On top of that, the price is much lower than alternatives.
This is the cultural differences between the west and Japan. Japanese people really likes big robots but the west just doesn’t buy that concept. Therefore early big robot anime didn’t really made it into the western market. It’s only when they started reducing their sizes (astroboy, I mean, is it even a robot?) that it started to get popular.
I’ll counter you with: smol snail
I wanted to study CS and yell mathematical nonsense at everyone
