AfD is Alternative fur Deutschland, a far right party. This divide is present ever since the division of Germany into East and West Germany and persists to this day despite the fact that the wall fell in 1989. It is definitely not coincidence that there is a political and demographical divide.
Thanks for all the work!
Federation should work to some extent to any ActivityPub-supported app. There are others than kbin and Mastodon and I have seen some users on other platforms, like piefed.
Do we though? Couldn’t it just do the search and if nothing comes up, then follow the link? Also does it only work for other Lemmy instances or does it also work for Mastodon posts or other fediverse services?
you can copy paste this link in your search bar to get it
I never realized you could do this - feels like the frontend should just do the search and find the local post automatically when you click the link?
The convention in many Rust projects is usually that before 1.0, the patch version behaves like the minor version and the minor version behaves like a major version. So once there are breaking changes, they go to 0.20.0.
Shows well why Ukraine is so important as an exporting farming country, they’ve got a lot of the green.
I wasn’t too impressed tbh. The plot felt a bit too messy. I liked Across the Spiderverse better.
Have you considered migrating while you still have control of the domain? You could at least make the domain redirect in that case. Though not sure if federation could somehow pick up that lemmy.ml has moved elsewhere.
There was a big time gap between 0.18.5 and 0.19. Have you considered adopting a release train model, similar to what Rust does? The Bevy game engine has also adopted the idea.
More frequent but smaller releases would probably cause less friction and make upgrading less of a “big thing” and “big things” are always where things go wrong.
Thanks to everyone for all the work!
Yes, 100%. That’s what I meant by “safer” but thanks for expanding :)
These are great features, thanks for all the work and congratulations on the release.
I will say though - in general, it would probably be easier and safer to do more incremental releases. It has been a long time since 0.18.5.
Have you considered adopting a release train model, similar to what Rust does? The Bevy game engine project has adopted such a model as well and it has worked well as far as I gather. The idea is basically to release on a fixed time interval, forever. No more surprises about when things release and there’s a convenient regular opportunity to encourage people to donate :)
You should rather move to a smaller instance than lemmy.ml. Remember, you can still interact with all other instances.
Denmark is super flat. I believe the highest point is the pylons of the bridge between the two Major islands, Funen and Zealand.
