If it’s not the ceiling and is just the trim I’d just pop off the trim and reposition it. If it’s the ceiling and it has give id probably do the same thing. If it doesn’t have any give and is actually the ceiling settling oddly I’d say you probably should have someone come and take a look at you foundation, especially if you notice a lot of cracks near windows/doorways.

If it’s the ceiling and you want to do the good ole landlord special, I’d just fill it with some joint compound, texture and then repaint it.

You may be getting confused with the butcher’s block used for food prep and as a cutting board which you don’t usually leave unsealed, or sealed with wax.

The problem is probably coming from where the undermount of the sink meets with the wood. I’m guessing there’s probably a good chance your finish may have been damaged during installation. It’s pretty easy to damage a couple layers of PU.

From my experience with PU, you prob want more like 4-5 layers instead of two, and I would suggest sealing the seam where the sink meets the wood with some silicone.

As far as the damage goes, you’re prob going to want to put in a dove tail and refinish it, or you can try impregnating it with epoxy if you have any experience with it.

Tbh this just isn’t a good place for butchers block, too many end grains exposed from a variety of wood that swells to different degrees. Ya mix that with heat and humidity and you got yourself a bunch of different places problems can pop up.

Butcher block is fine for countertops, but I haven’t ever really seen them used with an under mounted sink. I’m not really sure how one would expect to keep the wood from swelling considering it’s end grain is probably getting steamed every time you use hot water.

I wouldn’t really take anything down as fact at the moment. The region is a healthcare desert that has a pretty bad history of malnourishment, so even if what the reports say is true, it’s not something that would be applicable to other parts of the world.

From the couple articles that I’ve read about, there’s a lot of stuff being reported that’s probably not coming from a reliable source.

Most are saying it’s some kind of flu-like symptoms, and the disease is unknown, but the WHO director in the area has said they won’t have any more information for the next 48 hours because they haven’t been able to test yet.

There’s also reports of deaths from pulmonary complications, but also reports of deaths from lack of blood transfusions… Not sure why someone would require a blood transfusion for flu-like symptoms, so my guess is there’s not a lot of reliable reporting coming out ATM.

I think that’s a bit of an over exaggeration considering there wasn’t a mass casualty event or even real violence. Which is definitely an improvement considering South Korea was a highly violent military dictatorship within my own lifetime.

Meaning a significant portion of voters actively distrust news about climate change, another significant portion do not think about it on a day to day basis.

Giving the news network ammunition like this only further entrenches these audiences in anti climate change reactions.
