I’ve never had anyone who said politics and religion aren’t good conversation actually be worth having those conversations with. Everyone else from every other walk of life has no problem having a nuanced conversation about that stuff, it’s only ever WASPs that get all indignant and force everyone else to stop talking.

One of my coworkers had asked something about trans people and bathrooms, and I started to say my piece, but mid sentence the owner comes back like “under no circumstances are you allowed to have this conversation here”.

Oh yeah, so threatening to say that I don’t care who is in what bathroom if they don’t do anything that violates another guests bodily autonomy.

So controversial and brave.

We’ve spent plenty of time talking about the different racist inspired restaurants in the area and the deplorable dog whistle specials they offer, never cared about that offending anyone.

The restaurant in question was the MoonCricket Grille, and they were offering $0.49 Bud lights after the outrage about them in honor of the 49 who died at the Pulse nightclub.

That means one thing, and it isn’t that they are blissfully unaware of the day to day happenings in their town, county, state, region, country, or planet of residence.

How disgusting, the fact that such an affront to the functioning of western civilization is celebrated here is really telling. I can’t believe that something so vile could be accepted here, even as a meme.

I mean, the bitch established a poll tax calculated based on how many people live with you, adding an unfair undue burden on working folks disenfranchising them of their rights and further consolidating the power of the people into the hands of wealthy folks.

Thanks for sharing your fix, unfortunately the username is all lowercase in Memmy, so that isn’t my issue per se.

I can login, was actually replying from Memmy to see if it got fixed. My other account loads the profile, but this one on this instance doesn’t for some reason, and while I like my blahaj.zone account, I figured it’d be nice to see some of the other stuff and choose for myself what I do or don’t want to see, hence the infosec.pub account that Memmy doesn’t show the profile for.

Though frankly, most of what I see on here that’s different is like exploding-heads garbage, so it’s not like I was really missing out on anything with blahaj.zone.

Yeah, I wanted to add a thing about how I’m much more satisfied with Linux because it actually respects my configurations and I don’t have to go digging through 20 years of settings apps, control panels, and permissions dialogues to find out why even though I’d disabled sleep, it kept putting my computer to sleep despite the fact I was running a basic server off it. Literally be in the middle of steaming a movie or something and it puts itself to sleep, wtf.

Even when I disabled notifications in windows I’d still get random windows error noises at all hours of the night, and when I checked it in the morning 9/10 times it was some “Try the web browser that was made with windows in mind! Open Edge!” Bullshit.

If I was ever going to try Edge it isn’t because you woke me up last night to tell me to.

There was one night I was drunk As all hell, I can’t remember if I was on YouTube or Facebook or what, but this video came on of this guy trying to find out what happens if you eat nothing but corn, how does it come out. Turns out the first time he tried it, he forgot to not chew, so it came out as poop, but the second run he swallowed it all whole (supposedly) and had a paper plate full of slightly off color corn.

So yeah, thanks for that memory.

I don’t think it’s justified to go after a minority because they are a minority, and if you have to come up with a good justified reason to attack a minority it’s probably just because you wanted to attack that group instead of an actual moral reason, especially if you give a pass to your in group buddies for the same shit you attack the minority group for.

Open Source Manwich/ Sloppy Joe/ Sloppy Jane/ Tavern/ Barbecues/ Dynamites/ Slushburger/ YumYums/ Loosemeat sandwiches

Ingredients:

• 1 ½ pounds extra-lean ground beef

• ½ onion, diced

• 1 green pepper, diced

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 2 cups water, divided

• ¾ cup ketchup

• 2 tablespoons brown sugar

• 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

• 1 ½ teaspoons salt, or to taste

• ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

• 1 dash Worcestershire sauce

• 1 pinch cayenne pepper (or 2-4 drops tabasco sauce) to taste

• 1 tablespoon instant oatmeal, powderized in a food processor or herb grinder

Directions:

1. Place ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat; cook and stir until beef is browned and crumbled, about 10 minutes.

2. Stir in green pepper and garlic; cook and stir until softened, 2 to 3 minutes. Add 1 cup water and stir, scraping the pan to dissolve any brown flavor bits from the bottom of the skillet.

3. Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Add remaining 1 cup water and bring mixture to a boil.

4. Add in some oatmeal powder and lower heat to simmer, simmering until thickened about 30 minutes while stirring occasionally. If the mixture is too loose to form sandwich filling out of comfortably at the 15 minute mark, add in some more oatmeal powder and simmer to firm up the mixture until desired consistency is met
