Hopefully the annoying redditors go back into their hole like you said, and those who want to preserve the Lemmy “culture” (like you and I) stay.

I agree with the “Edit:” part.

I’m not saying that the new Lemmy users should go to Reddit, I’m talking about the average (annoying and cringe) Reddit user not using reddit (or not visiting those subs) during the blackout (possibly also having an existential crysis in the meantime), then returning to their usual life in the basement.

I’m not really “mourning” it, but I had a weird feeling, like the end of a great book (series) or movie, like I wish it would have continued more.

Hiwever after switching to lemmy, the community here seems way more active and friendly, and even though there are less overall users, I get more interaction with my posts and comments, maybe also because they aren’t drowned in a sea of other comments.

Yeah, just check r/redditmoment for uniquely redd(sh)it stuff (the hivemind deciding it doesn’t like a random comment, every discussion turning into the same unfunny jokes or porn, etc)

I update my flake inputs almost every time I use my PC (sometimes multiple times a day), and the only thing that breaks (rarely) is sddm, which is fixed by rebuilding again from TTY.
