Unfortunately, FPTP also keeps the existing dominant parties complacent in only having one enemy, so they don’t actually have to try very hard. So changing it is unlikely to gather a lot of steam, either. “Lesser evil” sucks, but is ironically a lesser evil than just throwing away the vote entirely.

The series is sorta violent even before Chimera Ants, where the evil-ness is kicked up to kitten-kicking, puppy-eating, “Sauron and Voldemort would hold a villain intervention because it’s too edgy”, gorey mess. Before that it was still relatively edgy shōnen but it seemed to take a slight turn there.

Frankly this is my takeaway too. Someone said “it’s Fallout but without any style” (paraphrased) and that seems about right.

I gave up on it after an hour. Oh woooooooow being foreshadowed I’m gonna fight this giant thing that just ruined the whole thing, super suspenseful anyway byyyyye. Frankly I just can’t get into it - the environments, graphics, gunplay, enemies etc. are terribly dull. I need something to be different than in Skyrim almost 12 years ago.
