Yeah. I guess it might be different from client to client, but it seems like it can be hard to tell that the community is shut down.
I was just pruning my subscriptions the other day. Unless the lemm.ee comms had a stickied ‘moving’ post, I can’t visually tell any difference from these and your average inactive sub.

Great question; I don’t know. I just used the Voyager ‘Crosspost’ menu option.

Because of composition rules. Fewer characters, much easier to brute force guess.
So when a site tells you ‘Your password must be at least 6 characters long’, and they just want to get past it to get to the content, the number is already on their mind.
