I do like the member only idea. At least it’ll require that spammers donate before causing trouble and getting banned.

@SDF@lemmy.sdf.org, the user in question is @Mikal8871@lemmy.sdf.org. They created an NSFW community, didn’t tag it as such, and have been spamming porn onto the server with missing NSFW tags. 99.9% chance it’s the same bad actor who just got banned. Please ban them and maybe put a freeze on new accounts till we can add more admins willing to ban bad actors like this.
I would also be willing to volunteer as an admin for moderation purposes, if necessary.
I think the correct term is spammed. We’re being spammed by a single new user, who is presumably the recently banned nazi using an alt to throw a tantrum.

Yeah, I think maybe it’s just that nobody had any info to share.
I haven’t started watching it yet but totally agreed about the animation. Snippets I’ve seen were top tier
Super is pretty fun as well. They got the dub cast from Z back for it and the balance of action and humor is halfway between DB and DBZ
A new version was just released. One of the new features is parallel federation, in addition to reduced CPU usage. Hopefully if we upgrade to it, we’ll see reduced federation lag with lemmy.world
Anyway my go-to response of course is “why how many do most people have” then offer to freshen their drink.
IMO it is worth being proud of the times you realized you were wrong. Most people live unexamined or underexamined lives. Having fewer moments when you realized you were wrong is not even remotely close to having been wrong fewer times. If anything it indicates the opposite: those with fewer wrongness-realizations will continue to be wrong in myriad subtle and humorously obvious ways.
I love this response because it might make the other person realize they have no clue how often they’re wrong.
Zetsubou Sensei has the highest throw-away blink-and-you-miss-it gag rate of any anime I’ve seen. You need to pause every time the chalkboard is visible to get all of the jokes
Mushishi and Kino’s Journey
My 70-something father in law is a no-life hikkikomori who just watches anime all the time, now that he’s retired
I would also add Welcome To The NHK to the list of SOL with anxious characters. That show is amazing.
This is an excellent List. I’m just here to second Lovely Complex and Toradora! because they’re two of my all-time favorites. Lovely Complex gets bonus points for being a romance that keeps going long after the two protagonists get together. They get together maybe halfway thru the show to my recollection and the rest of the show is so much better for it compared to the more typical endless “will they won’t they” shenanigans.
Totally underrated show
Love all 3 of these. Phenomenal list
Legend of The Galactic Heroes
Mushishi
Odd Taxi
Steins;Gate
Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex (seasons 1 & 2)
Guren Lagan is the best “saturday morning cartoon” type of anime I’ve ever seen. It’s the pinnacle of that vibe.
My favorite is probably Gas Gas Gas, but there’s really just so many bangers on that show
Interestingly, they list us as a linked instance, so the block is from our side for some reason
