An okay place to start if I’ve never seen any Star Trek?
“Don’t look at Jaques as if he was a human being, he comes from another planet.”
An okay place to start if I’ve never seen any Star Trek?
Glad you’re here!
Solid recommendations on all fronts. I haven’t played FF14, so is this the time?
Thank you so much! I haven’t listened to Interpol in forever, this takes me back to my Uni days! Going to play through some of these now :)
Holy shit, this is a great find. How have I never heard of this. Thanks for the link! Listening now! Actually, downloading this whole track from YT now. Thanks!
Really appreciate the hard work.
I think you’ve built a great community here, and the hard work isn’t going unnoticed. Thanks all!
Thanks, I’ve got the first book ready to go. I’m looking forward to it!
Should I start with the books, or the show?
Post apocalyptic is the right alley for me.
hey this actually looks really interesting, thanks!
Sounds like a great job!
I always wanted to be a librarian, or at least a part of me did. A year or so ago I seriously considered follow it up (that and literally a lighthouse keeper…you can tell how my work had been that particular month!), but never did. So, I’m a little jealous! And your particular field of it all sounds even better.
Those online book borrowing systems for the Kindle/Kobo? Best thing to happen on the digital side of libraries in my opinion!
I play the WiiU version of BoTW, which is indistinguishable from the Switch one and has the bonus of a crazy modding community behind it. It works beautifully, not one hitch. I use the pre-rendered shader and pipeline cache for it so it has not-a-stutter. I also play at 40fps. And being able to play the whole game as Linkle is so a fun change!
Here is the video I followed, if you wanted a quick look!
Also ToTK is running on the Deck. The r/yuzu and r/newyuzupiracy have a ton of videos playing it, but I’m going to finish BoTW first before tackling the new one!
Here’s a video from a week ago of it running. But I am sure its much better now, as updates and tinkering have moved at a blistering speed over ToTK!
I’ll look into inscryption! And I find it funny how many people here on lemmy talk about gaming. Must go hand-in-hand with it :)
What’re you playing at the moment? I’m about to start Skyrim for the first time, but I see the Batman Arkham games all on sale as a threesome, so I’m tempted to buy that too!
My Kindle, my Steam Deck, I have a adorable cat who demands as much time as I can give, gym-time…
What about you?
What does a “tech librarian” do?! That sounds fantastic!
It has a feeling of the ‘older’ internet, doesn’t it?!
I collect some older 486’s myself, since I’m more of a hardware fan than software (if that makes sense!). Have you seen Halt and Catch Fire? If you’re a fan of computers, their history, the builds and all that, the series if 100% worth your time!
Hi everyone!!
As with 99% of those here in this thread, a reddit user and so unenthused about the idea of not being able to choose my app to moderate or scroll. I’ve finally made the jump. My friends all think I am nuts, but I’m set on it. I take privacy and FOSS seriously!
I’ve been on Mastodon twice before, but this time I think I’m making it official, and loving how Lemmy is so far <3
I’m a Linux enthusiast, gamer (just got a Steam Deck! - BoTW via CEMU as Linkle, Stray and now starting the download for Skyrim, hoping that I can mod the game? The only YT video I checked out said that I need it installed on the SSD to work, which is hard since I have the 64gb version), I live for summer. Coffee is my reason for living.
Honestly joining up here feels as good as it did when I ditched the typical socials.
Can’t wait to get to know you all!
I found that so curious in Tokyo, even some hole-in-the-wall food shops would use the ticket system when the attendant is standing right next to the ticketing machine!
But, it is ubiquitous over there.
Weirdest thing I saw over there was deep fried sparrows.
Or the garden shop I went into had a (poor thing) monkey in a large cage who jacked off furiously and threw it at me.
Oh Tokyo, from one extreme to the other!
