  • hates the power being exerted for such a selfish reason.

I just don’t listen to audio on my phone without playing it through a wireless speaker, or playing it through the built in speaker.

You do realize that playing music on anything but a tiny speaker requires more power than BT+headphones? Even playing it loud in the built-in speakers can be note wasteful than later versions of Bluetooth.

Bluetooth transmission power costs are insignificant. But you don’t need to justify preferring the option to have regular wired earbuds on a phone.

  • Around 5 years ago, still in reddit I did a comparison between US and EU crime rates. Despite my prejudice against the US most crimes were fairly similar (robberies, burglaries, assault), it was homicides where the US goes batshit insane.

I believe it must be the availability of guns (even on the defending side, making the criminals more aggressive) that makes a homicide happen alongside a robbery where it does not in EU.

  • As with all EU policy, the purpose is to make the USA look bad. This is the only reason Russia is not even in the EFTA or the EU.

I have insider information that powers are play are trying to engineer a way to kick out Latvia to make the statistics more embarrassing to you.

    PS: UK 1.48, Switserland Not a country, Russia 6.8, Belarus 2.32, Ukraine 3.84 pre-war, Moldavia 2.27 USA 6.38

I don’t think adding Russia will make the difference you think it will, since it’s barely more violent than the US.

  • That map is just what the Unicode consortium ( a California non-profit) decided should be used on it’s standards.

It has zero authority on what day is the fist day of the week outside that and it certainly has not done any real research on what people actually use in all these countries.

Same with ISO 8601 in regards to dates. It’s not actually used outside of naming sortable computer files (if even that) and certainly now used in common speech or official documents etc.

Simply put misrepresenting these maps and ISOs by generalizing what they apply to is wrong
