We have them installed out in the open outside public libraries and City Hall. You skip having to add a USPS delay, coupled with text messages from the election office verifying they got it. They’re great if you don’t feel like standing in line on election day. Never had problems.
Nobody thought there would be dipshits out there who thought setting them on fire was a sane idea.

Back in college, a local doughnut shop would open at 3am to start making the run for the day. If you were stoned or pulling an all-nighter, it was worth the 15m walk. They would sell you fresh, warm doughnuts out the back.
Nowadays, a lot of places do the fresh doughnut thing. But it’s not the same, getting it at 3am.
I don’t get the interaction. If it’s always listening, why do you need to tap it? And how did it know she was having falafel. She didn’t tap anything, or did that come before?
Also, $99? Unless there’s a fat subscription attached to the other side, if it’s sending anything to the cloud, at that price they’re speedrunning their way into bankruptcy.
At least the Rabbit charged $200 to buy themselves some runway before starting to lose serious money.
Most roundabouts around here have stop signs at the entry points. They do nothing to alleviate the traffic flow.

We had a Samsung TV that did something similar. Fortunately, I had bought extended 5-year warranty for it with a third party. Called them up. They sent a repair person who opened the TV. It’s amazingly compact. All the electronics were in a couple of low profile circuit boards. He pulled the connectors, popped off the boards and snapped new ones in. It was surprisingly easy. You can take the whole thing apart with a screwdriver.
The whole thing is integrated. There’s no way to fix an individual feature. It may be the power supply is not functioning right, but you have to replace the whole motherboard with the power circuitry. You can find spare parts on ebay or through authorized repair people.
In our case, they swapped all the PCBs twice and it didn’t fix the problem. The insurance offered to swap the TV with a newer one but the specs were much worse. They ended up refunding the purchase price. Got an LG. Much better color quality IMO and hasn’t failed yet.
Next idiot will pour something caustic or maple syrup into it.
The problem is someone thinking this is OK or provides any sort of advantage to their cause.
