I could handle an overpriced phone if the device were viable for day-to-day use. Unfortunately the battery life is so compromised that even if we had a totally flawless mobile OS running on it, it still wouldn’t work out as a phone.
In this case it’s better to think of it as a development platform.
Just a heads up, here in the states I haven’t been able to use a OP6 as an actual phone- without VoLTE working on t-mobile yet, all incoming calls go straight to voicemail:

Might want to look into what the situation is with your carrier, or if there’s a workaround for you. Think as soon as this is fixed, it could actually work as a daily phone for me (aside from the missing camera)
Will never buy another phone without a headphone jack for this reason.
Nothing against Bluetooth audio, either (it’s very nice to have as an extra option). The expectation should be support for both wired and wireless.
E-bikes work as a car replacement for short-to-medium distances, and it would be a huge net benefit to facilitate that shift for as many people as possible, in as many situations as possible. So to make that happen, you obviously also want to roll out safe, protected cycling networks in tandem with these subsidies.
Running pmOS on a oneplus 6 right now- feels painfully close to being daily-drivable, and the performance / battery life makes it much more usable than an OG pinephone.
Calls and SMS aren’t fully there yet, and the camera doesn’t work. Mobile data is fine, while Waydroid fills in most missing apps, aside from music and video streaming (since audio still stutters on Android apps). So for now I’m also stuck carrying an old Android around for day-to-day basics, and offloading as much as I can onto the OP6.
