  • Me with warthunder. Im too dogshit for shooters, so ground RB is that but dependent on map control and smart positioning/knowlage of other tank armors. Air RB is so fun because its almost entirely about knowlage/positioning with a sprinkle of needing aiming skills/a good team

I just wish there was a better run game designed the same way warthunder is with both airplanes and tanks playable together. But for now Gainjin has my soul

  • Is it shallow to want to fuck someone because their hot? Isnt that literally the societal norm? The majority of interaction ive had by far are people with sexual attraction on looks that ive personally just never been able to relate too. Thats why I think there needs to be a distinction for those of us who dont feel that sexual attraction even if their aesthetic appearance is something we would be sexually atteacted too after being attracted to their personality

Although… Thinking about it that might fit under demisexual, but then you cant specify the gender, so demi-bisexual? Honestly maybe pansexual should just be the pretty name for demi-bisexual although I think others using pansexual would say its different from demi, or maybe omni would say their more demi-bisexual. Idk im definitely with you that there are too many labels, but I think sexual atteaction between physical and closeness/personality deserve to have a distinction

I learned what bi/pan was from a random discord user back in 2016 and I still think its the best description

Bi: Sexually attracted to looks, personality can obv play a big part/be a deciding factor but your main attraction comes from how physically attractive you think they are

Pan: Sexually attracted to personality, looks can obv play a big part/be the deciding factor but your main attraction is how much you like their personality

  • Most status LEDs are using ~0.05watts of power if not less, so 0.0012kWh per day (~0.26grams of sugar) is already efficient enough for a larger plant. Even with that bioluminescence is wildly more efficient then any LED since its basically the byproduct of a chemical reaction (like heat emission from our body’s while digesting)

This research slightly predates the above article but they touch on the fact the biggest barrier to bioluminescent plants is that plants tend to absorb the emitted light which could be solved by getting them to emit green light (and look at what color this current article has the plant emitting! Kinda cool to see scientists theorys theory put into practice)

Real easy answer: keeping a fridge cool during a very hot summer outside requires a more powerful cooling system. Instead most people have a powerful AC since you want the house cool anyway, with a cheaper fridge cooling system

The reverse is also true. You wouldnt want your fridge to require a heater installed in it to keep your food from freezing in esspecially cold winters

  • I mean thats the thing with any word. If someone tells you their uncomfortable with the useage of it ill either stop using that word around them or remove myself from the conversarion. However I don’t think its right to ban a word completely that has evolved into a simple meaning of “looks over or at the cost of preformance”

  • Reading through your responses it seems you really dont give a fuck about actually having discussion. Your view is right and everyone else is wrong, because of the simple fact “racism bad”

Theres no reason to ever redirect a racist phrase into something positive and completely seperated from its racist past, dispite the community at large already doing that. Words cannot change or evolve, and any word with even an inkling of negativity should be banned from ever being spoken (/s). I specifically called out that rice can be used in a racist and as a borderline slur, but that the modern useage of the word is painfully obviously removed from that connotation: considering the massive amount of people under this post also claiming they have never used, or even knew, the word could at all relate to degrading asians.

Oh and since you’ve responded often rejecting opinions just because “its a white person claiming its not racist” let me ask you, how many Japanese people (since the old meaning of the word was specifically targeted at the japanese) do you know take genuine offence to the word? Because funnily enough my Japanese friends in the car scene love calling things riced out
