Not quite the full history. Poggers was based on PogChamp. PogChamp was a Twitch emote, of Street Fighter player/content creator Gootecks from when he and Mike Ross did a silly video bit playing pogs by dropping a fight stick on it.

PogChamp was used a ton on Twitch (and other creators made their own versions of the face), until Gootecks kinda got problematic with his remarks on Jan 6th (and other stuff like alternative health and COVID disbelief). I think they replaced his face with a number of other reactions that also fit the bill?

This is his punishment for Total Forgiveness, where he had to go up and do a stand up routine. I think the full footage of it is listed as a separate thing from the episode it happened in, though.

I’m wondering if this is some sort of corruption of the hero, or if there’s some necromancy thing going on. They said it was someone who was supposed to be a hero, but don’t mention an explicit timeframe. Was it like a year ago? Or 2 centuries beforehand?

Also, the knight has a higher voice? We just know that’s going to be yet another love interest, huh? My bet is on tsundere knight who doesn’t know how to show affection.

I’m not the biggest fan of isekai/reincarnation/timejump series, but the writing of this one has been fun so far. Yeah, sure, MC is definitely overpowered, but I’m hoping that the character relationships and unexpected difficulties can carry this series.
