I made explosives with friends. We took it seriously and nobody got hurt. But sinthesis of HMTD is pretty dangerous (this is the thing you hear about when someone loses fingers in news).
I know that there are legitimate uses for car. But for me it doesn’t make sense economically. Time save is minimal, when I need to use car for moving stuff I ask someone or have it delivered.
But we have pretty solid public transport everywhere. It is mainly because last regime (communism) and after revolution it stayed, car centric communities are build only for last 10 years.
Or it will depend on situation - in the morning Queeg wold wake you up, and Holly will read you random facts before going to bed.
From my European perspective - I don’t have driving licence.
It is this weird long car that carries lots of people or car on rails. You can prepay it for year, month, day or hour just for the time you need to use it.
I know that I sometimes complain about the car being late or I have to use my legs to get to my destination. But deep down below I know that this car is something special.
Also I like veterans in museums and shows.
No.
I was expelled from Sunday school, I asked too many questions (faith is not about critical thinking).
Now it seems to me like faith/religion serves only one purpose - controling people. It doesn’t matter on which historic period you look at it is always about politics and control.
Few times it is hard, at the end of season you don’t even notice it.
But if you have solid public transport it is hard to start.
You can find really cheap beer in cans/bottles for around 10 czk. I don’t drink it (look at my post history).
In pubs it is around 35 czk.
Wait there is more - I will be commuting by bike :-)
Since 2015 lots of smaller craft brewerys, pub micro brewerys… poped up in Czech Republic. Beer culture is slowly shifting that way.
So when you get here don’t drink some mainstream beer (Pilsner, Staropramen…) find something better.
I will be moving soon to small village about 50 km away. But there is solid train connection (30min) so I will be here often (friends and stuff).
Work related - now I work 12 hour day/night shifts and browsing Lemmy at work.
I was born here :-)
I am in EU city right now.
I brew beer so I like it a lot.
I just don’t like anything sweet - I literally drink sweet alcohol 1 glass per 2 hours.
But it is in our culture Czechs drink about 120 l of it per person per year.
I made FB account after some group wanted to post there, never used it much. Now I use Messenger sometimes but not too much. Reddit was only thing that I used more, it is more anonymous and still you can be sure to read people generated content which isn’t suggested by algorithm.
I am happy that most people which I need to contact use email, it is best thing to contact people - literally everyone has one.
I feel little bit like cheater - I am not on beehaw that often.
I mostly post on homebrewing community on https://sopuli.xyz/c/homebrewing
Trying to grow it because I loved brewing subreddits.
I don’t have to but:
Hi I’m Plactagonic and I have slight issue with alcohol…
Right now I don’t have any.
Sorry this bad joke pops in my mind every time somebody wants to introduce me.
Can I use really bad introduction line?
I will be cooking on summer camp.
3 weeks in the middle of nowhere, bad signal, electric power from small solar panel. Fun stuff away from civilization.
