I liked to check in on r/popheads from time to time on reddit because I’m into pop music, and there’s /c/popheads@poptalk.scrubbles.tech, which doesn’t seem to have that many users so I’d like to see that grow

Tbf Reddit was AGP too, real trutranners don’t know what a computer is
YTA tran bad
Similarly I wouldn’t mind seeing something like r/trouduction show up here (bad translation errors but in French), although I suppose first we’d probably have to have any French-speaking communities at all, which for the moment it seems don’t really exist
Even with solid moderation I feel like it’d be harder than for other subs just because you really need to have a decent population of people who really know what they’re talking about
I find there is a tragic lack of transgendercirclejerk here
Wouldn’t say it was stupid in that it was the result of me doing anything stupid, but it definitely felt pretty stupid when I managed to get myself a 4 inch splinter from a wooden guardrail fully embedded in my leg in a hospital parking lot of all places. The best part was, because I was just a kid, and the hospital didn’t treat children, we had to drive to an entirely different hospital because of it.
Don’t listen to anything on my phone but definitely agreed, I much prefer having the songs on my computer and using ncmpcpp to play them (and with a cool visualiser too).
I know it had its issues but I was pretty sad that the LG G5 sort of compromise where you got the removable battery while still not “looking cheap” never really went anyway.
Devs don’t get paid less just because I pirated a game I would never have bought otherwise
Phone bad.
Like they’re objectively pretty useful but I find the experience of using one to just kinda suck and I avoid it as much as I can. I’d much much rather use a laptop or ideally my desktop if that’s at all possible. No idea how some people manage so much time using their phones
I really really want to learn (Standard) Arabic, but I’ve never really gotten around to it yet because language-wise there’s always been another language which is more practical at the time for me to learn (currently Dutch).
It’s really nice to see. I’ve kinda been following Lemmy from afar since I learnt about it in 2020 but I could never really get into using it because the activity just wasn’t there, but things are feeling completely different now
Yeah it’d definitely be nice to get a bit more diversity in leftist viewpoints on here. For all my disagreements with them I don’t generally mind anarchists or even some of the more traditional MLs or Maoists, but I do have kind of a hard time with all the Deng fans.
Definitely not a thing for everyone but I find conlanging (a conlang is a constructed language) to be pretty fun and it could be for other people who are also somewhat into linguistics. For me it’s a good excuse to learn more about linguistics and also to apply it trying things out in my own languages.
Je suis pas vraiment québécoise mais j’habite ici depuis plusieurs années maintenant
Least obvious fed
In all seriousness though I’m in Québec
EU4 lol, and by far. At least that’s among I have hour counters for. I’d guess I’ve played more Minecraft because I played that sooo much when I was younger and still sometimes do occasionally.
Paris honestly has never struck me as the nicest city, but it’s really big and it really feels like there’s an unlimited amount of stuff to do there so I wouldn’t mind going back.
I also found Avignon to be really nice and very pretty (at least in the historic centre which I didn’t really end up leaving since I was only there a short time).
Strasbourg was also quite nice and I actually thought about studying there for university (obviously my main reason for considering it was related to the university and programme, but my impression of the city was definitely a factor).
Haven’t really been too many places outside of France, but I was in Utrecht for a few hours (which idk if even really counts as ‘travelling to’ and it definitely felt like someplace I’d like to return to and it felt a bit more chill compared to Amsterdam which seemed a bit more chaotic.
