It’s not painted as a casing, more like an exceptionally extended body. It rather looks like a tracer projectile body. I suspect somebody searched for 5.56mm projectile references and picked the tracer at random.

The crimp mark is quite far up though, rather than on the major diameter.

I’m sure some cops somewhere still do that, but I can’t remember the last time I saw a uniformed patrol officer not using some kind of retention holster. Even the old fashion leather holsters had thumbsnaps every time I’ve seen them for the kind of role.

A duty holster will have a retention lock of some kind, usually a thumblock or button. Thats what you’d expect a uniformed patrol officer to use on a belt kit. A detective or some other LEO that wears more business casual clothes or formal clothes will more likely to have a holster without a retention, but they aren’t normally making traffic stops.

Not really worth a deep dive since the story is made up in the first place.

Zelensky actually specifically said that they didn’t seem to want to give enough aid to “win” particularly, just enough not to lose

Not to stir up too much, but it’s Zelensky’s job to constantly ask for more and more and more, and to push and prod and guilttrip and use every angle for every piece of aid. I don’t think there’s any level of aid given right now where he wouldn’t turn around and ask for more, saying what he’s getting isn’t enough. He’s a politician who is trying to leverage for maximum aid rather than an objective source. That’s not a knock, just saying that that’s his job right now.

America isn’t putting the weight of its military in as if it were being invaded, but it is and has been sending hundreds of billions worth of equipment, and people online only seem grateful for about 5 minutes when each shipment arrives, before going back to knocking the U.S. The U.S. didn’t invade Ukraine; the U.S. has advised and helped train them, and given them aid.

The earlier above comment wasn’t meant to say it isn’t giving aid, but it did downplay it and thanks only came when that was noted.

I noticed you skipped 2022, when the U.S. approved $100+ billion in aid.

The U.S. support hasn’t been perfect, but ragging on the U.S. without even acknowledging 2022 when they supplied billions on billions worth of aid, and downplaying other aid just reeks of wanting to be negative no matter what.

  • Can an apartment building owner give permission for a vampire to enter an apartment even if the tenant is refusing? If so, does the owner need to be on-site, or can permission be given over the phone?

If an apartment owner can give permission, can a bank that forecloses on a home give permission for a vampire to enter, even at resistance of the people actually living in the home? Do the people need to be aware their home has been foreclosed on, or can it say, be done as a legal fiction in the dead of night by a vampire corrupted bank to allow entry?

  • Reverse osmosis was the right call.

The thing about possible problems with municipal water in the US is that boiling would make the water worse. Boiling kills bacteria, but for things like PFAS contamination all boiling would do is steam off water and increase the concentration of contamination in what’s left.

I’m somewhat paranoid about PFAS contamination since it is tasteless and more of a long term problem rather than something that makes people acutely sick. There are entire counties where I refuse to drink or eat anything prepared within them because of their histories with industrial contamination entering the water supply, which is usually revealed to the public long after the fact.
