Yes, I know. I watched Kill La Kill.
Everyone that watches it still asks, “Why is she naked?” before it’s explained though. Because that’s part of the creator’s intent.

Me watching Kill La Kill
Man, I should play DMC5 again…
Very true, I was referring to more the actual running-and-gunning combat aspects, which are…well it’s Fallout 3, more or less. And I have gripes with Fallout 3’s combat.
I also love the RPG in New Vegas, and you’re absolutely correct that you feel the world change around to reflect your choices more so than any other Fallout game. In my mind that’s categorized under “storytelling”, but really it should be under “gameplay” because it’s responding to player input. I don’t know why my brain didn’t consider that.
Is the gameplay the appeal of New Vegas? It’s my favourite of the Fallout franchise because I like the writing, and also I can kill almost anyone but somehow the story will find a way to go forward.
God I would kill (every NPC) for an Obsidian-made Skyrim.
I finished Nocturne last night and it was…eh? Well it’s half a show isn’t it? It’s the same as the OG Netflix Castlevania S1, where they set all the pieces up for S2, so I’m willing to wait it out and see where it goes. The 53% does feel accurate to me as a score honestly, even though I’d personally put it at like ~60%.
The highlight of the show for me was Richter and Maria’s interactions in episode 1, and I thought we would get more of that than we actually did. I don’t mind Annette, but like…I wish we got more RICHTER (and Maria, Tera, and Orlox by extension) and saved Annette’s story for later.
It also just …weirdly felt too rushed and too slow simultaneously. 8 episodes was not enough for the story they wanted to tell, and I wish they just focused on the Belmont side for now.
Is this a controversial opinion? I thought this was a popular view of SnK since 2013
Tamest HP fanfiction.
No seriously, I remember some of the fanfiction.net tags for HP specifically were WILD. Also lots of male pregnancy…
Is The Boys not an adaptation? I’m not a viewer, but I could swear I’ve seen a comic version of it at my local bookstore.
Oh I totally understand, I’m the exact same way. But lately looking at social media comments is the equivalent of taking +1000% psychic damage.
Sorry in advance for the unsolicited advice, but if you’re a news junkie (like me), try out an RSS feed reader (Feedly, Inoreader, Newsblur is a FOSS option).
You get to bypass the comment section of social media while still being aware of what is going on around you. I use Ino because it’s cross platform. It makes it super easy to subscribe to anything from Nature to Vogue to my local news affiliate, and it has a trending section, as well as curated groups for hobbies/interests and your work industry as well.
You don’t have to stop caring about the world in order to live without social media.
This is so honestly so true. Once I moved my news sources onto an RSS app and left my social media interactions for my hobbies or catching up with people my pessimism decreased dramatically.
News on social media is filled with bad actors, misinformation, and bots deliberately to drive up engagement through outrage. 99% of the time it’s not worth the mental blowback.
Yeah, it seems kind of strange to say that Japan has never been in Europe’s sphere of influence considering the history of how the Dutch East India Company and later the British East India Company operated in Japan.
The sensory overload I get every time I visit a Japanese website. Rakuten legitimately made me tear up in terror the first time I had to use it, I don’t even wanna know what working the backend entails.
