  • Are you a male or female? Sure. I can be either one. I’m a human foremost, and I contain multitudes of possibility. Best of both worlds or all possible worlds - which means I don’t carry a gun because I don’t lay down in the sewers where the scum is. I have the superpower to live a life of peace and stability and freedom from fear.

  • I agree and as someone who fails at art constantly, I see how not limiting your art to one style only and one medium only might be a possible solution. I have sold four oil paintings and made over $5,000 off my art, but I’m no artist, I just do things in different styles that suit my mood. Mostly very horrible compositions with no regard for the rules of painting.

Maybe the trick to taking on AI is not to limit yourself or just do the same thing over and over again. I mean the less imitatable or predictable you are, the more you will succeed in art even if you’re not much of an artist.

  • Good plan. If you know the world is collapsing, go drink in the world as much as you can until it happens. In the novel “Forge of God,” when one character learns the earth IS going to be destroyed, he simply drives to a national park and camps out there, waiting for the end. That’s how I’d like to live my last days. Maybe the world will end in fire, maybe ice - but either way I want to have absorbed the beauty of it as much as possible.

  • I only wish it wasn’t this way. Nobody asked, but I’m gonna say it anyway - (looks around to make sure no spies are listening) - my favorite book is “Lost Horizon.” Yeeee heee there I said it. YES, YES I’m A PACIFIST and even more alarming, I’d rather live in a peaceful and friendly world than a war torn one. (I know how insane that sounds but it’s true).

  • I’ve been radicalized against HP for a decade now. I bought an HP printer with the guarantee of a sizeable rebate. Of course, the rebate never showed up and every time I called about it, the customer service person would read their script, “Oh we sent that out just a few days ago should be arriving soon.” Uh huh. Here it is 15 years later, no rebate check and I’m sure they never intended to send one at all. I’m not a fan of HP at all.

  • It’s like the poem “Fire and Ice.” “Some say the world will end in fire, and some say ice. From what I know of men’s desire, I hold with those who favor fire…” And from what I know of humankind’s willingness to escalate conflict, nuclear fire is the mostly likely and probable end of human beings. There will be a burnt planet left behind, and all the scars that show some insufficiently stable form of humanoid life once existed here. And that’s how earth will continue on, without us.

  • This would be the best thing to happen to the world - the utter cleansing of the earth through the obliteration of humans. We know it’s going to end by nuclear war anyway, how much better to have nature simply snuff us out instead of waiting for us to do it to ourselves. Which we will. A supreme fiery end is coming for human beings, one way or another.
