        Im assuming by that you mean ‘if the people took issue with it’, not ‘if there was a cultural problem of pedo shit’ (not trying to argue semantics, I do agree that there is 100% a cultural problem with normalising that kind of thing)

        I’m only taking issue with you generalising a >120 MILLION population and labelling them as pedos

          Bro, it’s Japan. If they (meaning rich Japanese men) don’t like it, it’s illegal to do. And they don’t like a lot of things.

          And I didn’t generalize 120 million people.

          I specifically made a claim about 30 million of them, the pedo ones.

          One of the things about Japan is that they tend to take community complaints relatively seriously. That’s admirable in certain ways, but what it also means is that you get anything illegalized if you’re enough of a Karen about it, from pedo merchandise to brown people existing.
