    Corporations are people will go down as one of the stupidest, most destructive rulings of any court.

      It’s even worse in that they are apparently only people when it comes to donations. When the company does something criminal, they are suddenly entities that cannot possibly be punished beyond a fine for less than the crime committed.

    And this is precisely why every country needs a maximum contribution per person per year AND a ban on corporate lobbying.

    I would like to see a top 100 by percentage of wealth. sorry top 100 largest donars but then see what the percent of their wealth that donation is. I bet musks is a drop in the bucket

    The campaign finance section of ballotpedia is pretty telling too. The R candidate for my district has over a million dollars in reported cash to the D candidates 150k, which is just mind blowing to me…

      “Special interest” is usually for contributions to campaigns in favor of (or opposing) ballot measures, in contrast to individuals running for office that have registered with a particular political party.
