Lol everyone cheered when Sheldon died and forgot about him. Meanwhile his estate/wife has doubled down on contributions.
So much wealth that long after they have died they still control us.
It’s time to start murdering these people folks.
Corporations are people will go down as one of the stupidest, most destructive rulings of any court.
It’s even worse in that they are apparently only people when it comes to donations. When the company does something criminal, they are suddenly entities that cannot possibly be punished beyond a fine for less than the crime committed.
And this is precisely why every country needs a maximum contribution per person per year AND a ban on corporate lobbying.
Didn’t you hear?, companies are people in the US
They are better than people, they get to spend as much as they want on buying politicians and they can’t go to prison.
there really needs to be limits and caps on this kind of thing
There are, but also there are loopholes so there actually aren’t

The campaign finance section of ballotpedia is pretty telling too. The R candidate for my district has over a million dollars in reported cash to the D candidates 150k, which is just mind blowing to me…
I would like to see a top 100 by percentage of wealth. sorry top 100 largest donars but then see what the percent of their wealth that donation is. I bet musks is a drop in the bucket
$90 million dollars is about 0.00008% of Musk’s estimated wealth
Why is Crypto.com listed as a Republican donor but Coinbase is a special interest donor? Is Crypto.com only donating to Republicans but Coinbase is donating to both parties?
“Special interest” is usually for contributions to campaigns in favor of (or opposing) ballot measures, in contrast to individuals running for office that have registered with a particular political party.
wait… Ripple still exists and has dozens of millions to blow on elections?
