And why didn’t Santa impose consequences on the other reindeer for their bullying? Sadly realistic.
We don’t know the real story, with such a grueling schedule Santa might be replacing the reindeer every year. The names could be sleigh position placeholders. Rudolph’s red nose could be an unexpected mutation from extreme inbreeding of a limited genetic stock of flying reindeer.
So maybe he turned the bullies into venison and got new ones to replace them? Explains why they loved Rudolph at the end - it was that, or else!
