I am very enthusiastic about the Thinkpad for Linux use for one reason – it is one of few laptops available with a physical middle button, which X11 makes good use of relative to MacOS X or Windows.
I really wish that laptop internal trackpads were standardized modules that could be replaced. Would open up more options for other laptops.
