    Binary systems form when two celestial bodies orbit around a common center of mass

    Everything does that. In the case of earth and sun this center of mass (barycenter) happens to be inside the sun. Earth and moon also has it inside earth. This barycenter being outside of both objects is the actual important thing.

        But they quote the authors saying that, so at the very least twist what they actually said by omitting details.
