the big stickied thread is getting cluttered with lots of new people and the “how was your week” thread isn’t a great fit for introductions, so it seems about time to make this a dedicated thread of its own so peoples’ posts aren’t getting lost.

I’m Mike. And like a lot of new users here, I’m part of the Reddit migration.
I’m a writer and part-time student, with a love for small personal websites and blogs, Linux, travel and coffee. I have a Mastodon, but I find I tend to do better with community-based rather than people-based “broadcast” social media.
I might be more of a lurker for a while, but I’m looking forward to getting involved in the conversations here.
