Post what you have read this past week (August 28. - September 03.)
Torture Princess Vol. 4
I’m in love with this novel series. The pacing is amazing,.the characters are amazing, the story is amazing. I don’t know what else to say.
This volume had probably the biggest reveal about their world yet.
10/10
I’m slowly starting to get back into a steady reading rhythm.

The Ephemeral Scenes of Setsuna’s Journey, Vol. 1 - Great first volume. There is some emotional manipulation going on which I usually hate with a passion. Still, it is not too on the nose, so I can let it pass since the rest of the book was great and because it looks like the manipulative parts are done with going forward (if things turn out as I would expect). 7/10 new LN to look forward to
-
The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash Vol. 4 - Not much change here from volume to volume. Comfy isekai soul food but the relationship between MC and sidekick starts to feel uncomfortable. Please don’t let this turn into a “for my daughter i’ll defeat the demon lord” situation. Pretty please and thank you. 6/10 PTSD nightmares
-
Cooking with Wild Game: Volume 22 - Surprisingly much happening in this volume for this notoriously slow series. I still love everyone of the main cast, but I would rather see them massage the breaks a bit to get back into the usual relaxed cruising speed. 8/10 baby gibas
-
Making Magic: The Sweet Life of a Witch Who Knows an Infinite MP Loophole Volume 4 - I have to point out again the interesting structure of the series. It’s more like a “timeframe of the volume” kind of thing than an unbroken continuous storyline. I like it even though the actual story and prose are nothing special. 6/10 overpowered witches with a bonus point for originality
-
The Greatest Magician’s Ultimate Quest: I Woke from a 300 Year Slumber to a World of Disappointment Volume 1 - Meh… 3/10 annoying MCs
-
I’ll just post this as a separate comment
I just finished rascal does not dream of logical witch (Rascal vo.l 3)
-
I love the di(tri)alogue in this series. It feels so alive and the characters feel so relatable event though dialogues like that would probably never happen in real life
-
it makes me yearn back for my time in school, or more precisely for the friendships that school can foster. I realized I don’t have any friends with whom I could/would want to spontaneously do things in the middle of the night, or have those emotionally Deep dialogues.

this feels like applied therapy, passively guiding you to change your perspective

**I feel like I can’t give all the books I’m finishing a 10/10 rating even though I’d want to.
I will give this a 9/10 because the start was pretty slow**
