Or tough it out in traffic with the cars as a pedestrian with effectively no protection. Wish the US had public transit that wasn’t neutered to force cars.

As a young adult reading The Anarchist’s Cookbook led me to find and read some of Scott French’s manuals of security, surveillance and espionage, and one of my possible carreer options was trained combat driver.
Sadly it requires far more social tact than I could mustered.
So I’m a princess who’s chauferred around now.
I drive when I must (which is almost every time I go somewhere), but being chauffeured is nice.
