Frieren is old af, but we don’t really know what her species’ life span is (odds are, she doesn’t even know herself). Considering we do meet at least one elf who looks middleaged, if she looks youthful she probably is youthful by the standards of her species and thus should have a youthful voice. Or her appearance is an illusion/disguise, but then why wouldn’t she alter her voice as well?

If she aged like a real-life human, she’d just be dead.
