I don’t know a lot about gangs, but I’ve always been under the impression they really don’t like it when other gangs start making trouble on their turf.
It’s an interesting situation. SPD has plenty of issues, but it’s very territorial over the people it’s abusing. I could see this potentially working out as planned.
@new_world_odor@CombatWombatEsq@seattle A friend who has been protesting for years downtown says she thinks SPD has been a little different in the last 3-4 months, not quite as asshole-ish & brutal as they have been. She’s still encountering some of the usual rat bastards in SPD with small dick/big gun syndrome, but they seem more restrained, & her feeling is that things have toned down a bit. Not sure if others feel the same - that’s just her impression - but it will def be interesting to 👀.
