Bill was always a dick. Read the book Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution to learn about how he behaved at the Homebrew Computer Club. While everyone else was just building cool things and sharing them freely, Bill went around threatening people for porting “his” Basic interpreter to different computers. He was very much the epitome of the uncool “I’m taking my ball and going home” kid.
I used to literally worship this man in middle school.
I also can’t believe from time and time again he goes to Dick’s Drive-in to grab some food.
He can eat a bag of Dick’s for all I care.
Back in the day (and probably now too), Kidd Valley had much better burgers anyway. They cost a bit more, but that wouldn’t matter for Gates, even before Microsoft got big. He always had daddy’s money.
