I really love the current arc of ReZero; leaving us hanging with Subaru restarting was really exciting, and this volume held up. It’s interesting seeing Subaru – old Subaru – run through his daily life and, in a new setting, learn he has Return By Death, learn about his allies, and eventually even find out that they actually, genuinely give a shit about him. I hate that I have to wait for March to see the next part of this arc though!!!

I’m gonna be real here. I’m so ready for this series to end. It’s gone downhill since volume 15 and lacked luster since then imo. That said, this was a solid volume with good action. I liked seeing the battle between the Sword God Gal Farion and Eris. She’s the highlight of the series these days. I wish Roxy appeared in this volume, but she was only ever doing things in the background. Next volume’s the finale, right? They’d better give all 3 their own respective mini-arcs, as well as one for the 3 of them to girlboss.

I’m ready for it to be over in December.
